John Williams To Score Star Wars Episode VII Says J.J. Abrams

The Star Wars theme is as iconic as Superman's, but J.J. Abrams won't be changing it as he said John Williams will be coming back for Episode VII.

Speaking at a Berlin press junket for Star Trek Into Darkness, J.J. Abrams was asked a few Star Wars questions with the director letting it be known that they will be sticking with John Williams.

For Star Wars, it's every early days to know, but I believe that going forward, John Williams will be [scoring] that film.

Steven Spielberg recommended John Williams to George Lucas who needed a composer for his 1977 Star Wars film. The Star Wars music score is the highest grossing non-popular music recording of all-time, and has nabbed John Williams many Academy Awards.

Star Wars Episode VII has a 2015 release date directed by J.J. Abrams.
