Following in yesterday's footsteps that saw a new female Thor announced on The View, tonight will see Marvel Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada appear on The Colbert Report to announce another new direction for a character (most likely another replacement).
In addition to Thor, Captain America is already known to be getting replaced - with it speculated by The Falcon - so the announcement could very well be regarding that; however, I believe Marvel stated we wouldn't find out who the new Captain America is for a couple months or so.
Another possibility is Iron Man.
Quesada has appeared on The Colbert Report before, including giving Stephen Colbert Captain America's shield.
