Some new details add pieces to the puzzle surrounding the delay in production for Batman Vs. Superman as it is learned Jesse Eisenberg, who plays Lex Luthor, is filming a second movie that will film from April to June.
It was learned a few days ago that while Jesse Eisenberg is presently in Michigan, it's not for filming Batman Vs. Superman, but for another movie which is said to shoot for about five weeks.
Regarding Eisenberg's second movie, American Ultra, the actor will be filming from April 14th to June 10th in New Orleans, reports Nola.com.
This seems to corroborate what Jennifer Garner said about Ben Affleck filming Batman vs. Superman this Summer. New Wonder Woman Gal Gadot also previously let it be known she doesn't start filming until May.
Of course it's possible Batman Vs. Superman could begin production earlier if Jesse Eisenberg isn't needed.
It's also unknown if Jesse Eisenberg agreed to film the new movies as a result of the delay in Batman Vs. Superman or is the cause of the halt in production.
If it's the latter, and Eisenberg is the cause of the delay in Batman Vs. Superman, this seems to shed some light on the casting for Lex Luthor as Warner Bros. may have picked the actor closer to start of production, and maybe even suggests a late change to the storyline as a new writer is on board as well with Ben Afleck's Argo screenwriter Chris Terrio.
"Batman Vs Superman" has a newly announced May 6, 2016 release starring Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane.
