Yesterday saw a news report that stated the Robin in the Batman Vs. Superman script is female.
Now THR is stating multiple sources have filled them in - even contrary to Malone's own statements that she was only visiting the set - that she does indeed have a role in Batman Vs. Superman.
Now the question remains regarding just who Jena Malone is playing in the film.
Jena Malone as Robin is not confirmed, but the red hair does fit with the character from the comic book, Carrie Kelley, but the age doesn't as Carrie Kelley was a young teenage girl in the Frank Miller storyline. Obviously, Zack Snyder could be going with an older female Robin in Batman Vs. Superman.
Another possibility: How about Harley Quinn who is noticeably absent from the Suicide Squad rumors?
"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" has a March 25, 2016 release starring Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Ray Fisher as Cyborg with Callan Mulvey, Holly Hunter and Tao Okamoto in new character roles for the film. Justice League is to follow directed by Zack Snyder as well.
