It's learned Jared Leto is staying in character even went not filming for the Joker in Suicide Squad.
EOnline caught up with Adam Beach, who is playing Slipknot, where the actor let it be known Jared Leto sent gifts to his fellow cast members.
You can watch the video above. Here's the blurb:
"Jared sent us gifts. He sent Harley [Margot Robbie] a nice love letter with a black box with a rat in it—a live rat. It was beautiful. Then he sent bullets to Will [Smith] and a letter... And a dead hog and a video of him in character... Basically [to] all of us. What he said was 'guys, I can't be there, but I want you to know I am doing my work as hard as you guys.' And the video he showed us in character blew our minds away. We realized that day, this is real."
Beach also stated the letters Leto wrote were "Joker-esque."
"Suicide Squad" has an August 5, 2016 release date directed by David Ayer starring Will Smith as Deadshot, Jared Leto as the Joker, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, Jai Courtney as Boomerang, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag, Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, Adam Beach as Slipknot, Karen Fukuhara as Katana, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Killer Croc, Jay Hernandez as El Diablo, and Scott Eastwood in an unknown role.
