An easter egg that was included in the first Iron Man movie has apparently made its way into Iron Man 3 - and may not only be an Easter Egg - but a major part of all three Iron Man movies.
Latino Review got their hands on an Iron Man 3 crew hat where we see the "Ten Rings" logo featured.
During the first Iron Man movie when Tony Stark was held hostage, we saw in the background a "Ten Rings" banner.
Likewise, it seems in the novelization for Iron Man 2 - or a cut scene - it was supposed to be revealed that the man who gave Whiplash false documents to the Monaco racetrack was a member of the Ten Rings as well.
[[wysiwyg_imageupload:3282:]]Comic Book fans will obviously recognize "ten rings" to be a reference to the rings that give the Mandarin his powers, but in the movies it's a terrorist organization.
Latino Review states that original Iron Man director Jon Favreau was going to use the Ten Rings terrorist sect to tie the Mandarin into all of his movies, as the Mandarin would then have a hand in trying to destroy the Stark family.
Is Shane Black sticking to Favreau's original plan, with the Mandarin keeping to the shadows in the previous Iron Man films and now revealing himself to Stark?
Or is it just a cool crew hat?
Iron Man 3 blasts off May 3rd, 2013 directed by Shane Black and starring Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Gwyneth Paltrow and Don Cheadle.
