Let's add another name to the list of potential Batman reboot actors with Hell On Wheels actor Anson Mount.
People have started their list of Batman picks with Anson Mount being a favorite of some.
Anson, a 40-year-old Tennessee native, was asked about playing Batman by the Huffington Post. The actor offered that he is flattered by all the attention and was a big fan of the comic books growing up.
"It's just flattering to be considered as someone who can even begin to approach this role," said Anson. "I read comics growing up and Batman was one of my favorites. I think Zack Snyder is a great filmmaker."
Anson Mount fits the bill for the recent rumor that Warner Bros. may be looking at 40-ish year old actors for the role of the new Batman; however, they could also be going for someone closer to the age of Henry Cavill as the new Caped Crusader will essentially be a new character.
Mount also has roles in Law and Order, Lost, and appeared in a 2003 episode of Smallville.
Superman/Batman, the sequel to Man of Steel, goes into production next year for a 2015 release starring HenryCavill, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane.
