[[wysiwyg_imageupload:7964:]]Henry Cavill takes to the skies as the new Superman in the Man of Steel next month, with it also thought the movie will be launching a DC Comics shared movie universe.

It looks as if we'll definitely know more at this Summer's San Diego Comic-Con, but first we hear from Henry Cavill about the Last Son of Krypton teaming with The Dark Knight.

Henry Cavill spoke with SFX Magazine and stated it would be an interesting team up on the big screen as well as could be a possibility.

"I think it would be really interesting with the age-old Batman/Superman conflict,” Cavill told SFX Magazine, “Because they are two different sides of the same coin and their methods are entirely different. And I think it would actually make for an interesting story as to why, first of all, they were going head to head and how. I think that would make a great story.”

So will we ever see DC's top two characters in a movie? Cavill would only offer that it could be an idea that is being considered.

“Who knows,” Cavill said. “I’m sure there’s all sorts of ideas being thrown around at Warner Bros right now.”

Regarding the ideas being thrown around, the favorite amongst fans happens to be a Justice League movie that features all the popular DC comics characters including Green Lantern, Wonder Woman and The Flash.

However, a Batman/Superman movie definitely can't be ruled out as the Caped Crusader has worked for Warner Bros. previously, with it looking like the latest Man of Steel movie will do the same.

DC Comics is also launching a new Batman/Superman comic book this June in conjunction with the 75th Anniversary of the Man of Steel by Greg Pak and Jae Lee as well.

Man of Steel opens June 14th in IMAX 3D directed by Zack Snyder and starring Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman and Michael Shannon as Zod.
