It's been announced that Harrison Ford has been offered a part to return as Rick Deckard in the Ridley Scott-directed Blade Runner sequel.
Warner Bros-based Alcon Entertainment co-founders and co-CEOs Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson released a statement that read:
"We believe that Hampton Fancher and Michael Green have crafted with Ridley Scott an extraordinary sequel to one of the greatest films of all time. We would be honored, and we are hopeful, that Harrison will be part of our project."
The Blade Runner sequel is being written by original writer Hampton Fancher, and Green Lantern movie writer Michael Green, which is said to be set some years after the first film concluded.
Blade Runner came out in 1982 starring Harrison Ford that saw him play a blade runner hunting down replicants. One theory suggests that Deckard (Ford) was actually a replicant himself.
