It's learned that Hans Zimmer has brought in some help for the Batman Vs. Superman music score.
Zimmer worked with Christopher Nolan on The Dark Knight Trilogy and for Zack Snyder on Man of Steel.
When it was learned Batman would be a part of the next movie, Zimmer was reluctant to get on board due to having already created music for The Dark Knight Trilogy; however, Snyder really wanted Zimmer a part of the movie.
Now it's learned that Zimmer won't be creating the music for Ben Affleck's Batman as the composer told CBR he brought in Junkie XL to do the music for the new Caped Crusader. The good news is that Han Zimmer is still doing the music for Superman.
You know something? I have agonized over it. I agonized over it, so much so that finally, I went, I don’t want to betray what Chris, James Newton Howard and I did. And so I asked Zack [Snyder] if it would be OK if I called a friend in. And I’m going to be working with Junkie XL, who really is a great friend. He just finished the Mad Max score. I said to him, “You take care of Batman. I’ll do the other guy.” And Zack loved that idea. It’s a way out.
Junkie XL, a composer from the Netherlands, is also known for work on the Halle Berry Catwoman movie, Freddy Vs. Jason, Resident Evil, Flash Gordon TV series and Blade.
"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" has a March 25, 2016 release starring Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Ray Fisher as Cyborg with Callan Mulvey, Holly Hunter and Tao Okamoto in new character roles for the film.
