We get some news on the upcoming Gareth Edwards-directed Godzilla movie from Elizabeth Olsen, playing who is thought to be a nurse or doctor in the movie.
In the latest issue of Dazed Digital, Elizabeth Olsen mentions the Godzilla 2014 movie offering her thoughts.
"This one is going to be really fucking cool,” Olsen said. “It will be nothing like any [other] American Godzilla."
Recently at Comic-Con, she said after Gareth Edwards showed her the Godzilla footage from the previous year she wanted to be a part of it. Olsen offered: "The script was in good taste" and "it was going to be a fun ride to be a part of; it has a strong character narrative, but at the same time it satisfies the destruction and all that. It looks amazing."
Elizabeth Olsen is also rumored to play the Scarlett Witch in Joss Whedon's The Avengers 2.
Godzilla opens May 16, 2014 in 3D starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ken Watanabe, Elizabeth Olsen, and Juliette Binoche, with David Strathairn and Bryan Cranston. The screenplay is by Max Borenstein, Frank Darabont, and Dave Callaham.
An epic rebirth to Toho’s iconic Godzilla, this spectacular adventure pits the world’s most famous monster against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity’s scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence.
