pic David Slade did say some big news regarding the new Daredevil movie was going to be announced.

This must be it.

The Hollywood Reporter reports that Brad Caleb Kane, a writer-producer on Fringe, will be writing the new Daredevil, and that he is adapting Frank Miller and David Mazzucchelli’s "Born Again" arc from the Daredevil comic book, issues #227-233 (1987).

I'm not a huge DD fan myself, but Wiki's description reads, "The story details Daredevil's fall to insanity and destitution at the hands of the Kingpin, as well as his subsequent struggle to build a new life for himself." Maybe CBN resident DD expert, Chris "DOC" Bushley will give us more.

THR notes that Kane is a big fan of DD, which helped get him the gig.

Slade will be on as director with Peter Chernin and Dylan Clark producing.

The new Daredevil comes from Fox, who also just released X-Men: First Class, and will most likely be out in 2012.
