We finally get a first look at Stephen Amell's Oliver Queen from Arrow wearing a mask.
Stephen Amell has been wearing black paint to help mask his identity in the series, but now he's getting the full Green Arrow look.
While not officially called Green Arrow in the series (yet!), it was at least hinted at in this season's premiere.
So why the change?
"As Oliver is embracing being a hero, being a hero means stepping out of the dark and being more of a symbol, so he has to stake steps to conceal his identity more,” explained Arrow executive producer Andrew Kreisberg to EW.
The mask will first be seen in the December 11th episode with Kreisberg offering: "He doesn’t just put on a mask. It’s actually a big plot point in an episode, and there really is a story behind, not only the need for the mask but also who provides him with it. It’s going to be a little bit of a surprise, and once they see how the mask comes into creation, I think people will be really excited about it.”
Arrow airs Wednesdays at 8pm ET on the CW.
