First Look At Lucy Lane In Supergirl
Check out a first look at Lucy Lane in the CBS Supergirl TV series.
EW.com debuted the image of Jenna Dewan-Tatum playing Lucy Lane alongside Mehcad Brooks as James Olsen and Melissa Benoist as Kara.
Lucy Lane, the younger sister to Lois Lane, is described in the series as: “strong, smart and successful in her own right. She’s got a history with Jimmy Olsen and she’s come to town to right a previous wrong.”
“We hope to explore the history that Lucy has with James Olsen — or, as Lucy knows him, Jimmy Olsen,” executive producer Ali Adler teased. “I think we’re going to bring in her father. She not only plays a romantic foil with whatever Kara and James are brewing, but people will also be surprised that she’s really a woman’s woman. She and Kara develop their own friendship, too. We’re not just bringing her in to purposefully create tension. She serves a larger story drive.”
Lucy Lane's father happens to be General Sam Lane, and in the comics, Lucy Lane becomes Superwoman with her costume featuring a containment field that simulated Kryptonian powers.
"Supergirl" premieres Monday, October 26 (8:30-9:30 PM, ET/PT) on CBS.
