Guess what is currently trending #2 on twitter?
DC Comics has announced that October's issue will sport an all-new look for Batgirl as well as a creative team, and the following art has been revealed which has received mix reactions from fans.
Readers will recall that fan-fave writer Gail Simone was initially going to be let go from Batgirl, but due to the online response, DC changed their mind.
Now Cameron Stewart, Brenden Fletcher and Babs Tarr are taking over.
Twitter and Facebook are once again lit up with Batgirl posts and tweets.
I haven't checked the news, did anything happen today?— Gail Simone (@GailSimone) July 10, 2014

Dan, I think even you know that I have been a MASSIVE fan of the return of Barbara Gordon as Batgirl, particularly under Gail's pen. I will miss her terribly on the book, but am excited that a new take may open my favorite character up to a growing audience. It's a great opportunity. Kudos to seeking out a unique take.
I'm a fan of Gail but, honestly, this is not only the Batgirl I was looking for three years ago. This is the Batgirl I had in mind when I met you and we talked back in 2006.
Glad Gail is landing on her feet. I wish you much success with this take, though! I don't even think I'm going to have to wish that hard. Cam Stewart knows his stuff, I trust his co-writer, and the art looks fantastic and like nothing else on the stands.
Dear God the beginning of the end..Barbara looks like she is 15! She looks like Archie's illegitimate love child....the art is cartoonish and childlike...She goes from being a serious superhero to something out of the children's line of comics...The reaction so far on FB and Twitter, has been an outpouring of disapproval. An artist who does not look like she can't draw adults realistically, A costume that reminds me of Kitty Prydes first costume as sprite and takes us back to the 70's...What the ....is anyone thinking at DC that this travesty would be allowed!!!!!!This is a disaster waiting to happen....
Love the new Babsgirl costume. Still not going to read it. http://t.co/69u1RMMA2U— Marzipan Fruitspice (@airawyn) July 10, 2014
@gailsimone Spy scandal in Germany, with CIA station chief ordered out of the country. Also, something something Batgirl something.— Eric Trautmann (@mercuryeric) July 10, 2014
@Jonplussed yeah… I enjoy Catwoman for an ENTIRELY different reason than I enjoy Batgirl… Thus the hesitation.— Societal Obstacle (@laurenvoswinkel) July 10, 2014
I love the new #batgirl design. I think this calls for some fan art.— Greg Menzie (@AbnormalGreg) July 10, 2014
Sorry that I don't like the new #Batgirl designs insults aren't going to change that. She looks younger than Stephanie, Harper & Damien now— KnightFire (@KnightWing19) July 10, 2014
The new Batgirl design makes her look like she's 15 years old. She's like 22... -_-— Ander (@AndersWriter) July 10, 2014
