It's learned that Dwayne Johnson is set to star in the live-action movie adaptation of the popular 80's Midway Arcade Game, Rampage.
Deadline reports Dwayne Johnson is is re-teaming with New Line and producer Beau Flynn (San Andreas, Journey, Hercules) for Rampage, a live action feature that will start filming the Summer of 2016.
It's reported the plot is being kept under wraps, but the game involves three giant monsters - a gorilla, a lizard and a wolf - that destroy major cities and landmarks across North America with the army fighting back.
The report mentions "the formidable Johnson" gets in the monsters way.
With the success of monsters movies such as Godzilla and Pacific Rim, Rampage could be rather fun.
