Disney Announces Guardians of the Galaxy Movie Consumer Products Partners

Disney officially announced the Guardians of the Galaxy movie consumer products partners, which include Hallmark, Hasbro, Disguise, C-Life, Mad Engine and Sideshow Collectibles.

The products will be in part based on the Guardians of the Galaxy characters Peter Quill Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Groot and Rocket Raccoon.

"There is so much excitement and enthusiasm in the marketplace for Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy," said Paul Gitter, senior vice president, licensing, Marvel at Disney Consumer Products in a press release (found below). "Hallmark joins an impressive roster of licensees who have formed the cornerstone of a merchandising program that will extend the film to consumers in fresh and interesting ways."

The "Guardians of the Galaxy movie" has an August 1, 2014 release directed by James Gunn starring Chris Pratt as Peter Quill Star-Lord, Dave Bautista as Drax The Destroyer, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Bradley Cooper as the voice of Rocket Raccoon and Vin Diesel as Groot.

Marvel Entertainment Teams with Hallmark on Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy 

 

New York (September 11, 2013) — Marvel Entertainment, LLC announced today an exciting new collaboration with Hallmark Inc., the leading manufacturer of greeting cards in the United States, to feature next summer's event film Marvel's Guardians of The Galaxy in both stationery and social expressions products.
