[[wysiwyg_imageupload:5797:]]We have two casting announcements for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, the sequel to the popular 2011 Rise of the Planet of the Apes movie.
The first casting announcement comes to us from THR, with Zero Dark Thirty actor, Jason Clarke.
And the second is from Deadline, which has it that Matt Reeves has cast 16-year-old Kodi Smit-McPhee in a lead role in the Dawn of the Planet of the Apes movie.
Reeves and Smit-McPhee have previous history together with Let Me In, which also starred Chloe Moretz.
[[wysiwyg_imageupload:5798:]]Regarding the plot for Dawn of the Planet Apes, it takes place 15 years after the previous movie and sees a group of scientists in San Francisco struggling to survive, and at the same time, Casear struggles to remain in control of his kingdom.
It is currently unknown which characters both Jason Clarke and Kodi Smit-McPhee will play.
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes has a May 23, 2014 release with Andy Serkis reprising as Casear.
