[[wysiwyg_imageupload:1299:]]Now this is cool!
David Tennant, the 10th Doctor in the BBC's hit sci-fi show, Doctor Who, recently returned to Who in the form of a commercial for Virgin media.
While Tennant didn't exactly reprise his role as Who - he plays himself - the advertisement referenced his episodes of Doctor Who, as well as the Tardis.
Virgin Media chairman, Richard Branson, is seeing fixing a Tardis-like vessel, steps inside and time travels — only with his "younger" self to appear.
Now the BBC isn't too happy about this, and is requesting - or demanding - that Virgin yank the ad, as the BBC never gave permission to use Who.
However, I suppose it could be argued that the ad doesn't specifically use Who, only the TIVO series, which it could be argued the BBC approved. Of course, whether they approve their stuff for promotional use is up in the air.
Anyway, check out the commercial. Makes me miss Tennant all the more.
