David Goyer Says He Would Love To Do Green Lantern
Is David S. Goyer eyeing a Green Lantern movie as the writer behind Man of Steel and the Nolan Batman movies lets it be known for at least the second time that he would be interested in tackling Green Lantern.
Back in April of last year, Goyer stated with only one word how he would do Green Lantern: "Better."
And now speaking with The Collider, Goyer says he would love to Green Lantern as in the interview it is mentioned that how they did Krypton in Man of Steel could be a template for Green Lantern.
I would love to do Green Lantern. I really wanted to showcase Krypton as a truly alien world. It was one of the things I wanted to do from the beginning when I got involved in the project. Superman's always been a science-fiction story, and I wanted to lead into that. So did Chris [Nolan]. So did Zack [Snyder]. I'm just glad we were able to.
Warner Bros. released the Green Lantern movie in 2011 starring Ryan Reynolds. With a reported budget of $200 million, Green Lantern barely managed to make that back with a total worldwide gross of only about $220 million.
Man of Steel, last year, netted about $670 million.
