The Dark Knight Rises (2012): Tom Hardy Talks Bane's Character and Mask
[[wysiwyg_imageupload:512:]]Tom Hardy, the actor who plays Bane in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises, briefly spoke about Batman's latest nemesis while attending the premiere for his latest movie This Means War.
Hardy mentions wearing the mask and that it was really tight!
Bane's mask is tight, actually. I got used to it, but you get used to anything really, in time.
Hardy also talks about delving into the role of Bane. While some have said that Heath Ledger really "became involved" with the Joker role from The Dark Knight, Hardy seems to have no problems portraying these types of villains.
I didn't get into a dark place at all. A lot of dark characters are easy to have distance from, it's something I feel comfortable with, I suppose.
Regarding Bane's mask, we came up with a possible explanation as to its look and use. Spoilers?!
