[[wysiwyg_imageupload:490:]]The last 8 years saw actor Christian Bale don the mask and suit of the Caped Crusader, Batman, for Christopher Nolan's films starring the Dark Knight. The third and final installment, The Dark Knight Rises, sees Bale parade around the old stomping grounds of our first president, George Washington. While filming in NYC, Bale as Batman was involved in scenes at Federal Hall in lower Manhattan, the place where Washington was inaugurated as President. Bale mentioned the scene to the NY Daily News while promoting The Flowers of War, and that Washington immediately came to mind.“I’m sure George Washington could never have imagined,” Bale told the Daily News. “And I apologize to him, because it probably should have never happened.”However, it's not like Bale regrets the role, which the NY Daily News points out, but as we have heard before, it is not one that Bale will revisit."We need different rhythms in our life, don’t we, and to me it would be the wrong rhythm to jump into a franchise at this point," he says. "For now, no, I’d be looking for new experiences."Bale goes on to say how he was never a fan of the comics as a youth, but once he discovered Frank Miller's Batman: Year One, he was hooked. And just how does Bale relate to Batman?"He’s got that killer within him that he’s desperately not trying to let off his leash. And that’s what I always return to."Head on over to the NY Daily News for more via the link above.
