I just caught up on the latest episode of CW's Arrow last night, "Family Recap," which saw the Royal Flush Gang make an appearance.
I thought it was an alright episode, it took a page out of The Dark Knight dressing the hostages in masks to make them look like bad guys and confuse the cops. Not really surprising as the show is heavily inspired by the Nolan movies.
All in all it wasn't bad, but is it getting kinda redundant? Seems the same thing every episode, basically, with episode 6 being pretty predictable as well.
Still, cool show.
The beginning saw reference to Coast City, which I picked up on right away. Of course Coast City is home to Green Lantern, and Tommy wanted to take Laurel there for a little getaway. As the show won't feature super powers, we won't be seeing Green Lantern. Probably won't be the last Easter Egg we get and next week does see Gotham City's The Huntress make her debut.
Speaking of, here's a preview for the next episode, "Muse of Fire."
Arrow airs Wednesdays at 8pm ET on the CW.
