[[wysiwyg_imageupload:7030:]]The Superman lawsuit isn't quite done yet even though their have been a number of favorable court decisions on Warner Bros. side; however, things are looking pretty super for the studio.
The last court decision that found in favor of Warner Bros. actually opened up a new avenue for the Siegels in that they can question breach of contract.
The same decision also made note that the rights for Superboy have yet to be decided.
Well, now they have.
The U.S. District Court has ruled in favor of Warner Bros. and affirmed a contested 2001 agreement between the estate of Superman co-creator Jerry Siegel and DC Comics.
Deadline notes that this gives Warner Bros. full license to make a Superboy movie.
While, true, nothing may be in the cards regarding a Superboy movie - as Deadline does mention it might be premature to talk about it - they do note that if the Man of Steel is a success this Summer it's a definite possibility.
Cosmic Book News will go one step further and state that it's even quite possible Warner Bros. could go with a Young Justice movie.
We know that head of WB movies, Jeff Robinov, recently said an announcement will be made soon about the direction they are taking the DC characters.
Could Superboy and a Young Justice movie be a part of those?
It actually would be a pretty good companion to the Justice League movie as it could cameo the new Batman as well as new Superman Henry Cavill and the other Leaguers.
