It's learned that veteran WB animated voice-actor Clancy Brown has joined the cast of The Flash as the DC Comics character General Wade Eiling, also known as The General.
THR reports Clancy Brown will appear in the fifth episode, with the role stated to be a "pivotal" recurring role.
For The Flash, the character of The General is described as: the head of a black ops army team pursuing Plastique (Kelly Frye) in the hopes of using her as a human weapon. The General is also said to be tall and an imposing man, with "a face carved from years of duty," General Eiling is fanatically intent on protecting American interests around the world and may have ties to a central Flash character.
In addition to Clancy Brown voicing many DC characters in the animated movies, which includes Lex Luthor, Brown is also known for his live-action roles playing Kurgan in Highlander, Sheriff August Corbin in Sleepy Hallow, many more appearances and has a role in the upcoming Warcraft movie.
The Flash premiers Tuesday, October 7th at 8pm ET on the CW.
