Christian Bale Hasn't Heard Anything About Justice League Movie; Looks Forward To Passing The Torch
Bale, speaking with EW about his latest film, Out of the Furnace, mentioned he hasn't heard anything about the Justice League movie, was never involved in official talks, and looks forward to seeing the next Batman.
"We were incredibly fortunate to get to make three [Batman films]. That’s enough. Let’s not get greedy,” Bale said. “Chris [Nolan] always said he wanted to make it one film at a time. And we ended up sitting there looking at each other, saying ‘We’re about to make the third.’ We never really knew if we were going to get to be there, but if that was how it was going to be, this was where it should end as well.”
”I have no information, no knowledge about anything. I’ve literally not had a conversation with a living soul. I understand that they may be making a Justice League movie, that’s it.” Bale continued, “It’s a torch that should be handed from one actor to another. So I enjoy looking forward to what somebody else will come up with.”
Recently, The Dark Knight Trilogy and Man of Steel writer David Goyer recently made similar remarks in that the new Superman movie universe would feature a different Batman.
Still, there are those who do want Christian Bale involved as Batman.
Regarding statements made above by Bale as well as others attached to The Dark Knight Trilogy how Nolan said he wanted to do one film at a time...Batman Begins did feature a Joker card at the end, The Dark Knight did feature Batman riding off being chased, and The Dark Knight Rises saw Joseph Gordon-Levitt don the cape and cowl.
Is that the end?
