About six months or so ago saw the hashtag "RenewYoungJustice" trend worldwide on Twitter.
Now hope is again renewed as Batman: Bad Blood and DC animated movie director Jay Oliva says there is a chance for Young Justice to return.
"Nothing’s ever totally dead. Futurama and Family Guy came back, but the crew, we all moved on," Oliva told Inverse. "I’m doing this stuff, Brandon Vietti and Greg Weisman are doing their own things. If the fans want it and there’s enough uproar, then eventually. Who knows? We all might come back and do it, but you never know."
Cartoon Network cancelled the series in the Spring of 2013 with the exact reason unknown; however, the lack of merchandise may have been the cause (or the lack of selling merchandise).
The good news is that the first two seasons of Young Justice are currently on Netflix. Maybe if there is enough "fan uproar," Netflix may think about picking up the series (and #RenewYoungJustice is currently back on Twitter.) Young Justice writer and creator Greg Weisman recently posted that he is asking fans to "make the push by racking up the views."
Cartoon Network did just announce a new Justice League Action animated series, so there is at least that to look forward to.
