Marvel Studios and Joe and Anthony Russo have announced that Cleveland, Ohio will be a location for the premiere of Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
Joining London, Paris, Beijing and Los Angeles is Cleveland as Marvel Studios filmed Captain America 2 in the city.
"It has been a big priority of ours obviously to be able to have a premiere there and thank the people of Cleveland,” Joe Russo told Cleveland.com. “We want to have a premiere that includes the local cast and crew and make some tickets available to the general public. It’s a way to say thanks and pay back the city for being such a great host."
Captain America 2 filmed for about six weeks in Cleveland last Summer and will see its premiere April 1st.
"We messed up a lot of morning commutes. This is one way of saying, ‘The Russo brothers apologize for the traffic,’” Joe Russo offered.
"Captain America: The Winter Soldier" has an April 4, 2014 release directed by the Russ Bros. starring Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Cobie Smulders, Frank Grillo, Emily Van Camp, Hayley Atwell and Robert Redford.
