Bryan Singer's Jack The Giant Slayer Tanks: Set To Lose Upwards of $140 million
It's being reported that Jack The Giant Slayer may lose upwards of $140 million when all is said and done.
Warner Bros. and Legendary co-financed the project which would help each take the hit.
THR has it that Jack The Giant Slayer will gross about $65 million domestically with another $140 million internationally.
Not bad numbers, but with a budget of around $300 million including advertising, it then doesn't start to sound so good.
Bryan Singer's next movie will be the big-budget sci-fi action flick with Fox Studios, X-Men: Days of Future Past.
Singer's name has also been mentioned as taking over the Star Trek franchise with J.J. Abrams moving on to Star Wars.
Interestingly enough, Jack The Giant Slayer shares something in common with John Carter in that they both had a name change, with "Slayer" replacing "Killer" and Disney dropping "Mars."
