This weekend saw Zack Snyder film the very first scenes for the upcoming Batman Vs. Superman movie in Los Angeles.
Snyder set up the movie with Gotham City University taking on Metropolis University in a football game that saw the two teams collide! Perhaps setting up the rest of the "Batman Vs. Superman" movie.
The scenes took place during halftime of a college football game where Metropolis University ended up scoring a touchdown, which led to a bench clearing brawl.
The game took place in Gotham where chants from the crowd could be heard with "GCU! GCU!" Gotham City Police Officers were on hand for security as well, and the movie title is even stated as being Batman Vs. Superman.
Now new details have become known with it said apparently Ben Affleck was present to film his first scene as Batman. It's reported that Bruce Wayne gave the Gotham City University players a motivational speech before the game in the locker room. Could it be that Bruce Wayne is an alumnus of GCU with MU a bitter rivalry?
The Ben Affleck as Batman scene hasn't been confirmed, but The Collider received a description from a fan said to be a friend of one of an extra who played a football player:
As I was walking out to the restroom before the game. I ran into this very nice man who knew one of the players that were the extras on the Gotham home team. He said that Ben Affleck was indeed there. How does he know this? Because the extra he knew filmed a scene with Affleck earlier that day in the locker rooms before the crowd started arriving. He said the the scene was about Bruce Wayne giving a motivational speech to the team!
The sequel to "Man of Steel" has a July 17, 2015 release also starring Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane.
