Yesterday saw filming take place for Batman Vs. Superman where Gotham City University took on Metropolis University.
East Los Angeles College's Weingart Stadium was transformed into the home field for GCU which saw a few plays take place.
A couple scenes were filmed with Metropolis U. at first getting tackled for a loss, but then scoring a touchdown which ended up in a bench clearing brawl. It's said the football scene(s) will be the opening of the movie. In addition, extras report Warner Bros. referred to the movie as "Batman Vs. Superman," (update: watch and listen here) though they yet have to officially announce that as the title.
Video of the Batman Vs. Superman scene has surfaced on YouTube which you can check out below where we see director Zack Snyder as well as cheerleaders and the players.
As we see the first scene is Gotham Vs. Metropolis, we see it's essentially setting up the theme of the movie as well as the title of Batman Vs. Superman. Perhaps Clark is on hand to cover the big rivalry for the Daily Planet.
The sequel to "Man of Steel" goes into production next year for a July 17, 2015 release starring Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane.
