It's become known that Warner Bros. has moved the release date for Batman Vs. Superman away from Captain America 3.

A reporter for the Wrap on Twitter lets it be known the Batman Vs. Superman release date will now be March 25, 2016 and will be in 3D.

Batman Vs. Superman originally had a Summer 2015 release, but then saw the date moved to May 6, 2016 which was already held by a Marvel movie, Captain America 3.

So with the third date, the only competition for Batman Vs. Superman in the month of March in 2016 is Warcraft, which has a March 11th release.

The move is actually smart on the part of Warner Bros. as it leaves the entire month of April open for Batman Vs. Superman.

Interestingly enough, this past April saw Captain America 2 dominate with little competition.

Update: WB also announced release dates for nine untitled DC movies and two event films.

"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Ray Fisher as Cyborg with Callan Mulvey, Holly Hunter and Tao Okamoto in new character roles for the film. Justice League is to follow directed by Zack Snyder as well.
