With Hugh Laurie exiting stage left on the Robocop reboot, former Batman actor, Michael Keaton, has been picked up for the villain role.
Michael Keaton will be playing Raymond Sellars, CEO of Omni Corps, that Laurie vacated, reports Deadline.
The movie has been getting a lot of heat as of late with reports that the script features a "transformer" Robocop, the aforementioned Hugh Laurie bowing out, and reportedly that director José Padilha has said it's been hell doing the movie.
However, I have to say I'm happy to see Michael Keaton onboard the Robocop reboot and do have relatively high hopes for the movie.
Keaton also joins Joel Kinnaman, Gary Oldman, Samuel L. Jackson and Abbie Cornish on the movie, which has an August 9, 2013 release date.
