Do we finally know the identity of Loki's aliens in The Avengers?!

Marvel Comics recently released a promo video from the 2012 Toy Fair where they talked with a Hasbro rep.

Well, the Hasbro guy went through their Avengers products and pointed out that Loki comes with an alien "ord" character (3:50 mark below).

Turns out that back in 2004 The Avengers director Joss Whedon penned Astonishing X-Men (issues 1–24 & Giant-Size #1) which saw the creation of a new character, "Ord."

Ord was an alien from a planet called Breakworld who was sent to earth to stop a mutant from destroying their homeworld.

The race had advanced technology, super strength and the ability to fly.

While Ord might not be exactly featured in The Avengers, could Whedon be throwing his his X-Men run a bone by calling his aliens  - "the ord." Marvel Studios President and Producer Kevin Feige has even mentioned that the alien race is not as important as people think.

The Avengers assembles May 4th, 2012 and is directed by Joss Whedon, starring Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Chris Evans as Captain America, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk, Scarlett Johansson as the Black Widow and Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye.
