With the news that Joss Whedon will be returning to write and direct The Avengers 2, and that The Avengers 2 might have a May 1, 2015 release date, we learn that the Avengers Tower will be featured prominently in the sequel.
Of course, viewers witnessed Stark Tower "transformed" into Avengers Tower - of sorts - at the end of The Avengers movie.
Now, the NYC real estate website IRealityTimes states that production designer James Chinlund is back onboard The Avengers 2 designing Avengers Tower.
Chinlund designed the original Stark Tower using NYC's MetLife Building, and is back on The Avengers 2 doing the same for Avengers Tower.
While it's really a no-brainer that Avengers Tower will be featured in The Avengers 2, what about Iron Man 3?
We could have a clue as the IRealityTimes states that the rebuilding of "Stark Tower" is being overseen by Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow).
So in Iron Man 3, it could be just that Avengers Tower isn't finished, and it will also be interesting to see how much of The Avengers is referenced by Iron Man 3 as well.
