Area 51 In Development At AMC; Produced By The Walking Dead's Gale Anne Hurd
Now this could turn into a pretty cool show as it doesn't really sound based on the alien notion of Roswell that we've seen many times already, but more along the lines of a CIA Govt. Ops experiment.
Currently in development at AMC, and being produced by The Walking Dead's Gale Anne Hurd, is "Area 51," which is being adapted from the best-selling non-fiction book by Annie Jacobsen, Area 51: An Uncensored History of America's Top Secret Military Base.
"Gale brought us the book and loved the way it presented an oral history of the place," said Joel Stillerman, head of original programming at AMC. "She has this whole technology/futuristic thing going on."
The book sees Jacobsen, a contributing editor at the Los Angeles Times Magazine, and an investigative reporter, learn the "truth" from various sources and men that worked at Area 51.
And from what I gather aliens are not involved, but more along the lines of top secret military experiments ranging from anti-gravity ships to nuclear devices and weapons.
Now, if this technology was being developed back in 1945 — it makes you wonder what they are working on now.
