With the Ant-Man movie getting a new director and writer, a batch of rumors has the net.
JoBlo has it that Ant-Man starts off with Scott Lang being a single dad and breaking into the house of Hank Pym to steal the Ant-Man suit.
It's being said the main villain of Ant-Man is Darren Cross, who in the comic books runs Cross Technological Enterprises, which is a competitor to Stark Industries and Oscorp.
Another villain is said to be the Marvel Comics character Crossfire, which is Darren Cross' cousin. It's possible Patrick Wilson or Corey Stoll could play the roll. It's said Crossfire will have a suit that is similar to Ant-Man's, but more militaristic, yellow and black in color, with a tendril-looking apparatus coming off of it's back. It's noted that in the comic books, Crossfire resembles a pink-looking Hulk, so Marvel Studios could be going in a different direction than the character, possibly incorporating designs from other Marvel Comics characters.
Regarding the Ant-Man suit, it's stated to be much more elaborate, complex and futuristic than what we've seen so far (my note: guessing different than the test footage) with the helmet having a visor that flips open and closes like Iron Man's. In addition, it's said the Ant-Man suit will have red lights all over it, described as similar to Tron (like Black Widow's costume), and the helmet eyes will grow red as well.
As in the comic books, Ant-Man will be able to communicate with ants and use them as his "super power."
"Ant-Man" has a July 17, 2015 release directed by Peyton Reed starring Michael Douglas as Hank Pym and Paul Rudd as Scott Lang.
