[[wysiwyg_imageupload:1621:]]Today at 7pm ET will see the debut of the new trailer for the Amazing Spider-Man.
Now, Sony has released a free Augmented Reality App for the Amazing Spider-Man as well.
If you are a Marvel Comics reader you may be familiar with the App, but if not, let me explain.
Basically you use your device's camera to unlock exclusive content. For instance, the App will recognize an image from a magazine, which will then cause a video to play.
It's pretty neat.
I just installed the App for the iPhone, and right away you can go to the official Amazing Spider-Man site to partake in some Missions. The first lets you shoot Spidey's web-shooters. There are also a bunch of other "marker images" available which will unlock various other Spidey missions, too.
You can download the App from the iTunes or Google Play.
The Amazing Spider-Man swings into theaters July 3rd, 2012 in 3-D and is directed by Marc Webb starring Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Rhys Ifans as Dr. Curt Connors/The Lizard, Irrfan Khan as Nels Van Adder, Martin Sheen as Ben Parker, Denis Leary as Captain George Stacy, Sally Field as May Parker and C. Thomas Howell as Ray Cooper.
