It is up to Sully, the leader of the human resistance movement, to nurture the fragile alliance, such as it is, between Man and Ape. Meanwhile, Voice Alaya, the vaunted leader of Ape society, has to unearth a traitor in the midst of her closest friends and advisors. Neither Sully nor Alaya know where these searches will take them.

Worse, the human child of Sully, in possession of Alaya, has fallen into enemy hands. But whose enemy?

Truly a wonder to read, this saga of the Planet of the Apes film franchise continues not only to add to its canon but to improve upon the legend in the comic book genre.

Writer Daryl Gregory keeps these scripts intense but polished and thick with emotion, whole societies giving way under the war that has waged for a decade or more.

Artist Carlos Magno and colorist Darrin Moore, meanwhile, continue to put out satisfying product after satisfying product, with artistic angles and storyboarding that stress the drama, the tenderness and the fragility of this fight.

Planet of the Apes#14 with its searches and intrigue builds on an already existing layer to add fuel to the fire of this war. And there is no cease fire in sight!
