Adrianne Palicki is currently starring in the new Red Dawn remake as well as the upcoming G.I. Joe movie, G.I. Joe: Retaliation, but she was also set to play a super hero in the NBC Wonder Woman television series.
Test footage of the new Wonder Woman show was filmed as well as a custom-made costume specifically for Adrianne Palicki.
While Wonder Woman never came to be, Palicki spoke with the Collider and said she still holds out hope that she might get to play the Amazonian Princess again in a bigger arena, and she also shared that she was devastated by the news of the Wonder Woman cancellation.
But, I was devastated. Believe me, I was inconsolable for a good two months. And then, I had to realize that I had a Wonder Woman costume fitted for my body. I got to play that part on film. Not many people get to say that, and that’s cool. Maybe I’ll get to do it again, in a bigger arena. Who knows?
Obviously the bigger arena Palicki is referring to is the silver screen and perhaps the Justice League movie. We just heard Zack Snyder hint that Henry Cavill might be playing Superman in the Justice League movie with the Man of Steel launching a new DC shared movie universe. Perhaps Adrianne Palicki will get her chance to play Wonder Woman after all.
Red Dawn is currently in theaters with G.I. Joe: Retaliation opening March 29, 2013.
