Next Wednesday is D-Day for Richard Rider fans as the new Spider-Man in space NINO Nova is set to - hopefully - crash.

If you been a readers of Cosmic Book News for the past few years you know that the site was launched out of Annihilation and Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning's Marvel Cosmic Nova and Guardians of the Galaxy run.

No. We are not "DnA fanboys" as we've been on their case at times as well.

Ahem, Quasar.

But we are definitely not onboard for what Marvel is doing with the new Nova and Bendis' Guardians of the Galaxy as they are shadows of their former cosmic selves.

And we are also not "anti-Marvel," contrary to e-mails we get (sorry!).

So with that, as Joe Quesada always says -- vote with your wallets!

If you are a Nova and Richard Rider fan, though Ed McGuinness' stellar art (does he ever work with anyone else?!) looks to get you sucked in faster than a black hole, how about leaving it on the rack and instead buying something else from Marvel?

We'll even recommend some.

Look through your shop and see if they carry any of the following -- and skip out on Loeb's Nova. If your shop doesn't carry any, dig through the back issue bins for something Richard Rider related.
