Aquaman director James Wan lets it be known filming at the Curry Lighthouse has begun as he posted the following image on social media.
The location of the Curry Lighthouse is at Hastings Point in Australia.
"Finally filming at the lighthouse set. Beautiful location. Saw whales breaching in the distance. Magical," Wan said.
In the comics, the Curry Lighthouse is the place where Tom Curry falls in love with Aquaman's mother and also the place where he discovers his young son, Arthur Curry aka Aquaman. It's known through casting that Aquaman will show a young Arthur Curry, so more than likely the scenes will be filmed here.
Aquaman has a December 21, 2018 release starring Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Amber Heard as Mera, Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko, Patrick Wilson as Orm the Ocean Master, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, with Temuera Morrison as Aquaman's father, Thomas Curry, Nicole Kidman is playing the mother to Aquaman, Queen Atlanna, and Dolph Ludgren is King Nereus.
