Sony Pictures Imageworks as the lead visual effects studio on Green Lantern

Tuesday Jan 26th 2010: As reported at Variety.com "Warner Bros. has tapped Sony Pictures Imageworks as the lead visual effects studio on its superhero tentpole Green Lantern."

The vfx supervisors on Green Lantern listed are:

Karen Goulekas (The Day After Tomorrow) and
Kent Houston (The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus)
with Jim Berney (I Am Legend) as the vfx supervisor for Imageworks.

Imageworks has previously worked on Watchmen and Superman Returns for Warner Bros.

Green Lantern is set to his theatres June 17th 2011
with Ryan Reynolds to play Hal Jordan and Blake Lievely to play Carol Ferris.
