Peter, Rich - We Hardly Knew Ya! THE THANOS IMPERATIVE #6 Well, Blue Bleepin' Blazes! A quick recap of yesterday's Next Big Thing Panel is in order before we get to the relevant news of today. What fans have been waiting - what seems a lifetime for - was announced with a continuance of The Thanos Imperative in a One Shot to follow called Devastation from Dan Abnett, Andy Lanning and artist Miguel Sepulveda. Devastation is said to be the aftermath of TI and sets up the new status quo. At the Q&A portion of the panel, Cosmic Book News' very own Jim Haley (who runs New Jedi Order Encyclopedia) asked about Nova and the Guardians of the Galaxy. According to various live feeds, the answer he was given was Nova and the Guardians couldn't be around because of the events that take place in The Thanos Imperative. He reported back to us that he was told Marvel would be putting out one Cosmic title. The "one cosmic" title info seems to fit in with what VP Executive Editor Tom Brevoort mentioned about there being more from Darkhawk and Lilandra's story at the NYCC T&A Panel. Tom also teased something in  regards to Greg Pak and Silver Surfer - which we haven't heard more about from Marvel. Now for the big news - A fan at the con met Thanos Imperative artist Miguel Sepulveda who sketched a picture of Galactus for him at the Hero Initiative booth. Seems the fan wanted the sketch of Galactus to resemble a page from TI #2; however, Sepulveda didn't have that one on him for reference. What he did have -- were pages from The Thanos Imperative #6! The page featured Galactus confronting the Cancerverse Galactus Engine. Sepulveda flipped through some more pages -- and a page that featured what looked like a statue of Star-Lord and Nova was shown! (You can read it for yourself in our forum.) Note: Interesting cover to issue #6! (see above) I'll leave it up to you what the statues mean. Oh, did I mention at the Next Big Thing Panel they said it was the end of the Marvel Cosmic Universe?
