Green Lantern Costume To Be All CGI In Green Lantern Movie

As reported by Slashfilm.com Ryan Reynold's Green Lantern costume will be completely computer generated.

"The suit that Ryan wears on set is a grey tracking motion/performance capture suit with led lights."

Reynolds is in good hands as the costume designer on set is Ngila Dickson, who just happened to win an Academy Award for The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King. As FusedFilm.com reports:

"The Green Lantern suit is something that should look alien – it needs to seem other worldly. It encompasses any creature that wears the ring, and Hal Jordan is the first human to ever wear the suit. This was a chance for Dickson to do something different. You also have to consider that Hal changes into the suit multiple times in mid scene, and the cg also allows him to do this."

Furthermore, Slashfilm.com reports on the early script Cosmic Book News released, "The screenplay that leaked online is a very old draft. I’ve been told that the villains have changed a bit and that the rewritten script is supposedly way better in the end."

Note: The above image is from artist Jason Palmer's Deviant Art Page and may or may not be original concept art (again according to FusedFilm.com) where he says:

"Hello all, Been busy with, among other things, two movies each based on DC comic characters (one has a scar, one has a ring) I’ll share with you when I can…I did some work for the upcomingGreen Lantern movie. I can’t show the submitted art, but this is some extra art I did as a cover to the submission pdf, but was strangely not included in the submission. Oh well. For this art, I didn’t use costume designs or Reynolds ref that was provided by WB, so I can share it with you.”
