James Gunn Responds to Guardians of the Galaxy 2 Trailer Spoiler Complaints
I have to admit, I was just thinking the same when I was going through the new Guardians of the Galaxy 2 trailer screenshots, which is, I felt a lot of the movie had been spoiled.
The good news is that director James Gunn has taken to Twitter to quell any fears that the new trailer spoiled anything.
"We show almost nothing of substance that's not from the first fifteen minutes of the movie, so I am curious as to how that can be the case," Gunn replied to a fan.
Now I don't think we are to blame for thinking such a thought as many times trailers do spoil movies. Off the top of my head, I recall the trailers for The Avengers: Age of Ultron and Star Wars: The Force Awakens basically revealing 75% of the movie. The number is probably the same for most Marvel movies as well (Captain America: Civil War). I also recall the trailer for Terminator: Genisys spoiling the reveal of John Connor.
The good news is that James Gunn apparently shares our feelings as he isn't letting too much footage or information be known about Guardians of the Galaxy 2.
From my own perspective, I find movies much better when I know the least about them, which is really difficult to do in my case.
