X-Men: Days of Future Past May Not See James McAvoy Meet Patrick Stewart

Body

5860 We know that X-Men: Days of Future Past deals with time travel and alternate realities so there is a real possibility that some of the characters could meet some of their other worldly selves.

Well, if what James McAvoy is saying is true it doesn't look like Charles Xavier will meet Professor X, Patrick Stewart.

Speaking with Empire Magazine (via Collider), McAvoy states:

It’ll be cool, but I don’t think [Patrick Stewart and I] get any scenes together, sadly. I don’t think there’s any future self talking to past self.

McAvoy could be attempting to throw us off as a meeting between the two minds is most likely expected as well as wanted amongst the fans.

Perhaps that's just it, they won't be seen in any scenes together, but we'll hear their shared thoughts.

Update: CBN's resident X-pert, Assistant M.E. Chris Bushley, says the two do not cross paths in the comic book story, so at least it shouldn't come as that much of a surprise.

X-Men: Days of Future Past has a July 14, 2014 release date starring Jennifer Lawrence, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, ShawnAshmore, with Hugh Jackman reprising as Wolverine, and returning cast members Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellan.
