The Wolverine Trailer Confirmed For G.I. Joe Retaliation & New Images Include Viper

Director James Mangold gives us a batch of images related to The Wolverine as well as lets it be known that the first teaser trailer will be officially attached to G.I. Joe: Retaliation with the full version to follow.

Mangold has been his own personal PR man as he has been taking to Twitter letting loose a variety of images for The Wolverine.

The latest is behind-the-scenes set images of the Yashida Compound as well as a photograph of 29-year-old Russian native, Svetlana Khodchenkova, who plays Viper in the movie.

In addition, James Mangold was asked about the first The Wolverine trailer with the director confirming it's with G.I. Joe on March 27th and a full trailer will follow.

The Teaser comes out on that date, yes. It will be about 2 minutes. The trailer (longer) will follow after that.

The Wolverine has a July 26th, 2013 release date, also starring Brian Tee, Will Yun Lee, and Hiroyuki Sanada.

Synopsis:

Based on the celebrated comic book arc, this epic action-adventure takes Wolverine, the most iconic character of the X-Men universe, to modern day Japan. Out of his depth in an unknown world he faces his ultimate nemesis in a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed. Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality, emerging more powerful than we have ever seen him before.
