The Wolverine: James Mangold Set To Direct

Body

pic Deadline reports that James Mangold will be the new director on "The Wolverine," that negotiations are about to begin and it's all but sealed.

Originally Darren Aronofsky was set to helm, but dropped out siting family and travel reasons.

Earlier, Jackman stated, "We were pretty much ready to go. The script is fantastic — the best we’ve ever had, which is why it attracted Darren in the first place. His personal situation precludes him from doing it now, and I feel for him. But now we need to find a director."

Looks like they found the director in Mangold, as according to Deadline, Mangold was the choice by both Fox Studios and Jackman.

Previous works of Mangold include "Walk The Line," "Girl Interrupted" and "Cop Land."
