William Shatner Thinks Star Wars: The Force Awakens Trailer Is Ridiculous

With Disney and J.J. Abrams releasing the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer over the weekend, what does the original Captain Kirk, William Shatner, think about it?

Well, Shatner took to his official Twitter account to offer up some thoughts, including that the new droid (what we are calling the World Cup version of R2-D2) is ridiclous.

Original Darth Vader, Dave Prowse, tweeted to Shatner asking, "So not a fan, then?"

Shatner replied, "David! I loved JarJar but this thing looks ridiculous!"

Back in 2011, Shatner also talked about Star Trek vs. Star Wars.

Check it out:

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" has a December 18, 2015 release directed by J.J. Abrams from a screenplay by Lawrence Kasdan and Abrams. Kathleen Kennedy, J.J. Abrams, and Bryan Burk are producing, and John Williams returns as the composer.

Actors John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, Lupita Nyong'o and Gwendoline Christie will join the original stars of the saga, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker in the new film.
